A Bible term that many of us have used before from Psalm 107:27 is the word "wit's end." This term means that the situation is out of our hands, and we can do nothing. In other words, I can't change it, and I can't work it out. I can't go around it, and I can't deal with it when we are dealing with any more significant situation than we are. However, we need to understand that there is no circumstance bigger than our God.
When we come to a point where we can say, I am at my wit's end, we have come to a place in life where the only thing we can do is allow our Lord Jesus to take over. In the Bible, we see in Genesis that the devil told Adam and Eve that God had not been good. We should never come to a place in life and believe a lie from the devil that God is not good. When we doubt the goodness of God, we are treading on dangerous ground.
Friend, our God is good, and we should never doubt that. God is merciful, and we should learn the lesson that when we come to our wit's end, we should always trust Him. Are you trusting Him today in your circumstances? Can you agree, God is good all the time?
Psalm 107 reads: "O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth forever." AMEN!
