A boomerang is a device that, when appropriately thrown, follows a singular curve and then returns to the hand of a thrower. In essence, when you throw it, it comes back to you. Did you know that sin always promises more than it can deliver? Charles Spurgeon said, "Sin is a kind of boomerang, which goes off into space curiously, but turns again upon its author, and with tenfold forces strikes the guilty soul that launched it."[1]
Have you ever been cheated, or has someone taken advantage of you? Have you ever cheated on someone or taken advantage of someone? The Bible teaches that "for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap" (Galatians 6:7). There are many ways that people can take advantage of others.
When someone cheats you, or in a situation where someone has taken advantage of you, wait patiently on the Lord, who is the ultimate judge of every person. Remember, God, says in His Word that each person will reap what they have sown. Take these matters to the Lord no matter how hard or unfair they may seem. I pray the scriptures below will help you in these challenging situations that come into your life.
--Job 4:8 - "Those who plow iniquity and sow trouble reap the same."
--Hosea 8:7 - "They sow the wind, and reap the worldwind."
--Numbers 32:23 - "But if you do not do so, then take note, you have sinned against the Lord, and be sure your sin will find you out."
