Payday!

Friends, we are living in a time of great darkness. We live in a day with much wickedness, and people will do just about anything. Many things that are taken place on this planet are evil in the Lord’s sight. Our churches have entered into a time of complete persecution and trouble. Some churches, such as ours, are condemned because we preach against sin, just as the Bible teaches. There is only one word to describe what is coming: PAYDAY!

Galatians 6:7 says: “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” Payday is coming, but it hasn’t arrived here yet. In other words, judgment has not yet come from God. What we see today is not judgment, as some would seem to think, but the consequences of sin. We must realize that the Bible teaches that not one sin will go unpunished. Romans 2:5 says: “But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasureth up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God.

Yes, God is a God of love, but He is also a righteous God who demands justice. This devotion may seem like a hell, fire, and brimstone devotional, but praise be to God that He loves us no matter what darkness we may be going through in this life. A day will come when there will be no more sickness or sorrow. Today is the day unto salvation. There is a day when those who have trusted Jesus will be set free from the darkness of this old world.

We must go through a few more valleys in this old life, and we still will have some dark times to go through. But praise be to God, a day is coming, and what a day that will be! Amen!
