Every Christian goes through trials in their life. I have learned the hard way that going through trials allows us to increase our faith. I wish I had learned this early on in my Christian walk, but this is something that I learned many years after I accepted Christ.
The purpose of trials is to increase our faith, but they are also a result of God’s love for us. Again, He loves us so much that He allows us to grow in grace and faith. The Bible teaches that we are to be filled with Joy, but for many people it is hard to grab a hold of joy sometimes. Joy is a fruit of the Holy Spirit, which is a part of God’s will for every Christian.
James 1:2-5 reads, 2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; 3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. 4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing. 5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.”
Friend, we should choose joy in situations where joy would naturally be our last response. The attitude of a Christian should always be a continual genuine rejoicing, even in through our trials. The purpose of having joy is by having faith and confidence in the outcome of the trial as the Lord works through us to grow us stronger. Amen!
Trials can be productive and as Christians we should have the right attitude as we respond to them with joy. Remember, God loves you so much, and He has a plan and purpose for His children. Let us be filled with joy and seek His wisdom.
Amen!
