A Criticizing & Negative Spirit

Having a negative and criticizing spirit is destructive behavior. For many, negativity and criticizing other people come naturally. The Bible has many scriptures that back that this type of behavior reflects what is happening inside a person. When people tear down and criticize others with negativity, it demonstrates their heart condition.

If you want to reflect on the condition of your heart, then listen to what is coming out of your mouth. What is going on in your life? Are you living a life of negativity? Does a criticizing spirit indwell within you? We should not waste our time criticizing and being hostile toward others. Negativity will hinder God's kingdom work.

The Bible reads, "The mouth of a righteous man is a well of life: But violence covereth the mouth of the wicked. Hatred stirreth up strife: But love covereth all sins. (Proverbs 10:11-12).
