1 Corinthians 15 is one of the most critical chapters in the New Testament regarding the resurrection of Jesus Christ. In this chapter, Paul argues that the resurrection is a crucial element of the gospel message and that our faith is in vain without it.

Paul writes in verses 3-4, "For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures." This passage highlights the importance of Jesus' death and resurrection in the plan of salvation. Christ's death paid the penalty for our sins, and his resurrection demonstrated his power over death and sin and his victory over the forces of evil.

Paul goes on to describe the significance of the resurrection for believers. In verses 20-22, he writes, "1 Corinthians 15:20–22 (KJV 1900)

20 But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept. 21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead. 22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive."

As we celebrate Easter Sunday, let us remember the significance of Christ's resurrection. It is not just a historical event but a transformative one that has the power to give us new life in Christ. Through his resurrection, we have hope for eternal life and the promise of victory over sin and death. Let us thank God for this gift of grace and salvation and live each day in the joy and freedom that comes from knowing the risen Lord.
