Facing A Battlefield!

Friends, we are in the middle of a battlefield right now. The battle I am speaking of is not a battle fought with guns and bombs but is a battle fought for the souls of men and women, including your very soul.

1 Peter 5:8 says, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” I want you to understand that the Devil is REAL, and he is not some cute character running around in red carrying a pitchfork. The Bible says that the devil is real and he is our adversary. In other words, the devil is your opponent – he is your enemy!

The fiercest battles are fought in our thoughts, minds, thinking, and imaginations. Only when the self-nature surrenders its way and becomes willing to accept God’s way can we choose right over wrong. The contest over the control of the will lies at the heart of every victory and every defeat.

2 Corinthians 5:17 says, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Romans 13:14 says,” But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts. Amen!
