Gird Up The Loins of Your Mind!

To live Holy in an unholy world starts in our mind. Have you thought about how the mind is a battle zone? The mind is where our real battles take place. The Bible reads in 1 Peter 1:13, “Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;.”

“Gird up the loins of your mind” means to take and pull up all loose ends that come from worry, wondering, and thinking about things that do not bring honor and glory to King Jesus.

We will have to deal with our minds if we are going to live the Holy life that God intends for us to live. We see and hear so many different things that enter our minds today, and we must learn to discipline our minds. 

We must yield to King Jesus and rely on Him to renew our minds daily. We must develop the mind of Christ so that “we can take every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ.” Amen!
