God Meant It for Good!

In Genesis chapters 42-45, we read about a man named Joseph, who faced a choice that each of us will face at some point in our lives, “Do we respond with bitterness or forgiveness?” We must realize that we can praise God for our friends and trust Him with our enemies because He controls our lives.

Four times in Genesis chapter 45, we see the words “But God!” Here was a situation where Joseph practiced true Christianity. Joseph could tell his brothers, “You sold me, but God sent me.” In Genesis 50:20, the Bible says: “But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save many people alive.” In other words, these brothers intended to harm Joseph, but God meant it for good.

My friends, there will be heartaches, pains, and issues in your life, which are unfortunately inevitable. We must realize that everything in our life is going according to God’s plan. God had His purpose for the life of Joseph (Romans 8:28).

So, you are:

• An ordinary person going through life.
• Having good and bad days.
• Making friends and enemies.

How should you respond? Always remember, no matter what happens, God meant it for good. Amen!
