Hebrews 5:14 reminds us of the importance of spiritual discernment. It says, “But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.”
Just as infants start with milk before progressing to solid food, we, too, should aim for spiritual maturity. This involves consuming the Word of God and applying it in our daily lives. By practicing discernment and making wise choices rooted in God's truth, we grow in our faith.
Developing discernment requires constant practice and reliance on the Holy Spirit. As we immerse ourselves in Scripture and seek God's wisdom, we train our spiritual senses to distinguish between good and contrary to His will.
Let us strive to be mature believers who are grounded in the Word, able to discern right from wrong, and walk in obedience to God's guidance.
