John 8:44 says, " Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning and abode not in the truth because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar and the father of it. " In this verse, Jesus is addressing the Pharisees and exposing the lies and deceit of Satan.
Satan is a master of deception; his lies can cause great agitation and unrest in our lives. We may become anxious, fearful, or doubtful when we believe his lies. We may also become agitated when confronted with the evil and injustice in the world around us.
However, as followers of Jesus, we can find peace and security in the truth of God's word. The Bible reminds us that God is a God of truth and that His word is a source of comfort and guidance. When we read and meditate on His word, we can find peace and calm amid agitation.
Furthermore, we can resist the lies of Satan by putting our faith in Jesus Christ. Jesus is the truth; when we follow Him, we can be assured of His protection and provision. We can also be empowered by the Holy Spirit to resist the temptations of the devil and to live in the truth.
