Living Like Jesus!

The Book of Philippians deals with how we as believers should be living. When the apostle Paul wrote this letter, he was imprisoned in Rome. It appears that the church at Philippi was close to Paul compared to any other church. We see that God uses the Philippians to show His love, just as Paul showed his love for them.

In Philippians 1:21, the Bible says: “To live is Christ and to die is gain.” In essence, Paul was saying, “if he lived that it would be for Christ and if he died, He would be in the presence of Jesus which would be a gain. We must all conclude that life on planet earth is temporary. One day those of us who have placed our faith in Jesus will see Him face-to-face, and we will receive a glorified body. We should be just like Christ, so to die is gain.

Many believers believe that trusting Christ will end their current battles in this life and is the beginning of many battles. So, for now, the question remains: “How does Christ want me to live?” We need to follow Jesus in every way possible in worship, praise, prayer, obedience. Jesus should be in total control and the center of each of our lives. We must strive to be Christ-like. Amen!
