Sometimes God does a test of faith, just as He tested the faith of the Children of Israel in the Old Testament by allowing them to go through hard times in the wilderness. God doesn't test us because He doesn't know how strong our faith is. He tests us because we don't know how strong our faith is.
Nobody likes going through a trial or difficult time in life, but sometimes our faith is put to the test to show us our weakness. We should pray and ask God to help us grow in our faith anytime that happens. As odd as this may sound, we should have joy when we go through trials. The Bible says, "Consider pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials, so that you may be mature and complete" (James 1:2 & 4).
It's important as believers that we stand firm in our faith. We are told in God's Word that God will bless those who patiently endure testing and temptation. The Bible promises that one of the blessings for people who stand firm is to receive the crown of life. How are you going to live life on this earth? Will you have faith and trust in the Lord and be able to pass the test of life?
James 1:2-4 reads: "By brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete lacking nothing."
