The problem in America today is that we always want more. People want more money, more success, more square footage, more of this and more of that. We all want more! In the Bible we read about a man named Paul who was in prison chained to a Roman guard who understood that contentment was being satisfied with none other than God.
Do you believe that if you’ve got God, you don’t need anything else? Your answer to this question can tell you right where God is in your life. In Philippians 4:19 the Apostle Paul said: “But my God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Here God makes a promise to meet every need you have. God is saying that He will supply all your needs. God does not say He is going to supply all of your wants.
What we must understand from this passage is that if there is a real need in your life, God will meet that need. Will you learn from this passage the real lesson of contentment for your life? Will you trust that your God will supply all of your needs? Amen
