D.L. Moody once said, "God never made a promise that was too good to be true." The Bible gives many promises, and as Christians, we should stand on the promises of the Bible. One of the most popular promises we're given is found in Hebrews 13:5, where the Lord says, "I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee."
We should be prepared to receive the promises of God. No matter what we are witnessing or experiencing in this life, may we keep our faith and hold on to the hope He promises. The Bible says in Hebrews 10:23, "Let us hold fast to the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;).
A promise is an assurance God gives to His people so they can walk by faith. Hebrews 10:36 reads, "For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise."
Standing on the promises of Christ, my king;
Through eternal ages, let his praises ring;
Glory in the highest, I will shout and sing,
Standing on the promises of God.
Standing, Standing, Standing on the promises of God my Savior;
Standing, standing, I'm standing on the promises of God. Amen!
