Everyone who is born is headed to one of two places for eternity. Our bodies will not endure forever, and the Bible refers to our earthly bodies as a tabernacle or tent. We need to realize that this earth is not our permanent dwelling place but that God has a permanent dwelling place for us for eternity.
We use calendars and clocks as indicators to record days, weeks, months, and years. Year adds year until all the years bring our lives to the end of what we call life. As Christians, we have, with the ending of life on this earth, a new beginning that has no end.
Psalm 23:6 reads, "Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."
