Humility!

1 Peter 5:6 says, "Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time." This verse reminds us of the importance of cultivating a humble spirit and trusting in God's timing for our lives.

Humility is often misunderstood as weakness or lack of confidence. But true humility is actually a strength that comes from acknowledging our dependence on God and recognizing that He is the source of all our blessings. When we humble ourselves before God, we are essentially saying, "I cannot do this on my own. I need Your help."

Peter encourages us to humble ourselves under God's mighty hand. This means submitting to God's will and trusting in His sovereignty over our lives. It means recognizing that God's ways are higher than our ways, and that His plans for us are good and perfect.

But the promise of this verse doesn't end with humility. Peter also reminds us that God will lift us up in due time. When we entrust our lives to God and humble ourselves before Him, He will exalt us in His perfect timing. This may not happen in the way or time frame we expect, but we can trust that God's timing is always perfect and that He will bring about the best outcome for our lives.

So today, let us cultivate a spirit of humility and trust in God's timing for our lives. Let us acknowledge our dependence on Him and submit to His will. And let us trust in the promise that He will lift us up in due time. May our humility draw us closer to God and bring us greater peace and joy in our daily lives.
