Practice What You Teach!

Matthew 23:3 says, "All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, that observe and do; but do not ye after their works: for they say, and do not."

In Matthew 23:3, Jesus directs attention to the importance of words and actions. He speaks about the religious leaders of His time, acknowledging their authority in teaching but cautioning against following their example because they failed to live out the truths they proclaimed.

The call to "be careful to do everything they tell you" underscores the significance of heeding sound teaching. It encourages us to embrace the wisdom and guidance those who share the Word of God offer. However, the subsequent warning, "do not do what they do," highlights the critical need for consistency between belief and behavior.

As followers of Christ, our lives are meant to reflect the transformative power of His teachings. It's not merely about professing faith with our words but living it out in our daily actions. People are watching to hear the message and see if it's genuine and life-changing.

This verse prompts us to reflect on our own lives. Are we practicing what we preach? Is there alignment between our beliefs and our conduct? It's a call to authenticity, urging us to be sincere in our faith and transparent in our journey.
