Demonstrating The Love of Jesus

As believers, we know real love because Christ gave up his life for all people. We as Christians should give up our lives for the cause of Christ by giving our time, talent, and treasures. Our attitude should be unselfishly putting forth effort in the things of God, such as prayer and support. 

 A phrase I like to use often is “showing the love of Jesus in a practical way.” Love is what the brethren should be doing for one another. In John 3:16, we read: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Then in 1 John 3:16, the Bible says: “Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.”

The Bible clearly states that we can only know love if we understand that Jesus laid down His life for us. The love of God, demonstrated on the Cross at Calvary, should inspire us to surrender ourselves to God and give completely to our fellow believers. To give back for His great love to you, love one another. Jesus said: “By this people will know you are my disciples; that ye love one another.” Amen!
