In the Bible, in 1 Timothy 6:17, we are told not to trust in uncertain riches. In our culture, many are tempted to trust in uncertain riches. I am not trying to burst your bubble as you read this devotion today, but let me be plain, we don't own anything. Do you realize God owns it all?
If you genuinely want to be happy in this life, then realize that every possession you have belongs to God. Also, God has rights to everything He owns, and it doesn't matter what you have in your possession; it is God's possession.
One truth that many may not realize right now is that there is coming a day when all of creation will acknowledge God's Possession. The Bible teaches that one day "at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those in heaven, and those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."
Today, my friend, "Have you recognized God's possession and divine ownership in your own life?
Psalm 50:10-12 says, "For every beast of the forest is mine, And the cattle upon a thousand hills. I know all the fowls of the mountains: And the wild beasts of the field are mine. If I were hungry, I would not tell thee: For the world is mine, and the fulness thereof."
