Jesus died for our sins, and He alone is worthy to receive power, riches, wisdom, strength, honor, glory, and blessing. When King Jesus speaks, we are to listen, and we are all duty-bound to listen to the voice of the Lord and follow Him. John 2:5 reads: “…Whatsoever, he saith unto you, do it.” In other words, do what He tells you.
Many people today are so busy with their selfish ambitions and hobbies that they have no time to listen to the Lord daily. Still, they want Him immediately during a disaster or emergency. My friends, partial obedience is disobedience, and we must give the King of Kings the attention He deserves.
Take a moment to reflect on your life. When you call Jesus Lord, are you giving your absolute allegiance as a surrendered servant and being obedient to the King of Kings? Are you serving Jesus, the King of Kings, or the world? The Bible clearly states, “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and love money.” Amen!
