Dissension!

The Word "dissension" is not a common word that we often hear; however, it is something that takes place almost daily. The dictionary describes "dissension" this way, "a disagreement that leads to discord." Some people live off of causing dissension and discord at work, at church, with their families, friends, and in their own homes.

Unfortunately, when dissension occurs, it has to be dealt with. The Bible has a lot to say about being sowers of discord and people causing dissension (Luke 12:51.) The Bible is clear that anyone who causes dissension and division does not follow the NT teaching (Romans 16:17). The Bible teaches that you cannot serve the Lord Jesus Christ if you are going to be entangled in dissension (Romans 16:18). Do you realize that dissension is typically caused by people being deceived by others' speech?

The devil loves to attempt to destroy the effectiveness of God's people by creating dissension. Unfortunately, dissension causes us to take our focus off of Jesus. Have you been guilty of joining hands with the devil and causing dissension with God's people? If so, Jesus can give you what you need.
