Valentine's Day - Love!

One of the most critical themes in the Bible is love. Love is the foundation of all that is good and holy and the glue that holds relationships together.

In 1 John 4:7-8, we read, "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God because God is love."

God's love is not just an emotion or a feeling but an action. He demonstrated His love for us by sending His son, Jesus, to die on the cross for our sins. This selfless act of love reflects the extent to which God is willing to save us and bring us back into a relationship with Him.

We are transformed when we accept God's love and choose to follow Him. We are given the ability to love others in a selfless, sacrificial, and unconditional way. This kind of love transforms the world and brings light into darkness.

In Matthew 22:37-40, Jesus teaches us that the greatest commandment is to love the Lord our God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength and to love our neighbors as ourselves. When we love God and love others, we fulfill the purpose for which we were created.
