In Matthew 14:27, we read: “ But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.” I imagine when those disciples saw the Lord Jesus, they were afraid and had seen something they had never seen before. Although the disciples were frightened, Jesus certainly wasn’t frightened.
When we have storms in our lives, we must understand that the Savior will always come to our aid. We must take courage and trust Jesus to come to our help. Everything that we are afraid of has already been conquered, and it is under the feet of Jesus, and He can bring that peace and calm. He calms our storms and hearts. There is nothing too great for Jesus to conquer, and we can take courage. Amen!
